Fleece Unlimited is a collaboration of alpaca ranchers and owners who have come together for the purpose of increasing public knowledge of these fine livestock and their product, their fleece.
As alpaca breeders, we make deliberate choices toward higher quality fleece, for the betterment of our own herds and therefore the national herd. We also envision the U.S. market paying greater attention to the procudtion of alpaca fleece, similar to Australia and Canada, and then onward to a position of sustainable manufacturing of alpaca goods.
Education is the first step.
Some of us are new breeders, full of enthusiasm for alpacas, their care and their potential. Others are expericenced ranchers with a view to new possibilites. All of us are passionate about our animals, sharing a love of handcrafts, artistry, and quality of life.
